Brest, China's Wuhan keen to expand contacts


A protocol on friendship and cooperation with China's Wuhan was signed in Brest on 29 August. The document was signed by Brest Mayor Alexander Rogachuk and Tan Renjie, Deputy Chairman of the Wuhan Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. Alexander Rogachuk underlined that for the time being the document is a protocol of intent to strengthen contacts, which concerns both sides. The head of the Chinese delegation expressed hope that the city of Wuhan  can twin with Brest in the future. As of today, Brest is twinned with one Chinese city, Xiaogan.
